Congressman Hal Rogers announced $30M in funding for water infrastructure projects in eight Eastern Kentucky counties. The investments include over $2.75M from ARC to upgrade water storage systems in Hazard and Beattyville. 🚰
In Allegheny County, Maryland, more than half a million dollars in ARC funding will benefit three local projects.The funding will help expand education and workforce development, as well as build housing to support specific needs of the local workforce.
A long-closed 5.5-mile section of the Appalachian Trail has reopened. Iron Mountain Gap, on the Tennessee-North Carolina line, was rerouted for more than a year as the Forest Service worked to remove dead trees felled during Hurricane Helene. 🥾APPALACHIA IN THE NEWS
